Following our Epidemic/Pandemic Policy and Procedures we are still operational until Department of Defence or our funding providers, Defence Community Organisation, tells us otherwise. We have however, ceased all face to face programs and events, we will still provide craft packs and online programs.

EVENTS WHEN COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS AREN'T IN PLACE
  • Youth Zone Last Saturday of the month 630pm - 830pm - Wattle Grove Public School.
  • Wine and Dine Once a month on a Friday evening 7pm until late - Various location, please check our Facebook events or email for details.
  • Adult Craft First Friday of every month 7pm - 10pm. Each month will be a guided or BYO craft. Please keep an eye out for the event.
  • Family Dinner Once a month on a Tuesday night from 5.30pm
POSTPONED - First Aid Course

Please note, we need a minimum of 15 attendees to go ahead with this course. If we do not get the 15 sign ups, you will be notified 2 weeks prior to the 4th of April and a full refund will be given.

If you need signing onto base, please send us a message to organise prior to the day.

The First Aid unit, HLTAID003 Provide First Aid, is nationally accredited providing participants with the qualification to be a First Aid representative in many workplaces and other required situations. The course we deliver is highly practical and focused on real Safety Scenarios that you can put in to practice.

This unit was also previously known as Apply First Aid HLTFA311A, Senior First Aid, Apply First Aid HLTFA301B, Apply First Aid HLTFA301C.

Course Content:

Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
Fractures and dislocations
Burns and scalds
Head, chest and spinal injuries
Fainting and unconsciousness
Bandaging techniques
Breathing difficulties
Poisoning, bites, stings and much more!

Physical requirements of this course

It is a requirement of this unit that students are to perform a minimum of 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on a manikin placed on the floor. This is a mandatory requirement as stated in the Training Package and there are no exceptions that can be made.

If for any reason students are unable to perform these physical requirements, students cannot be deemed competent or issued with a Statement of Attainment.
